Grand Bank of Texas is a locally-owned and operated independent community bank. We have been serving customers in Grand Prairie and the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1975 and in the Texas Hill Country in both Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay since 2012. Our goal has always been to deliver friendly, knowledgeable, professional service through a wide range of products and services designed to benefit your financial needs. Grand Bank of Texas has four conveniently located, full-service locations. Each is staffed with professional bankers who are there to take care of our most important asset, our customers.
Grand Bank of Texas was originally chartered in 1975 as National Bank of Grand Prairie. The founding Directors, many of whom are still with the bank, saw the need for a locally-owned, locally-managed, independent bank to serve the financial needs of the community and area.
Soon Grand Bank of Texas vacated its temporary quarters and built its own building at 2341 S. Belt Line Road in Grand Prairie, and expanded the facility in 1984. A long tenure at Grand Bank of Texas isn't unusual. Eleven of our employees have been with the bank for over 10 years.
In 1993, Grand Bank of Texas changed its charter from a national bank to a state bank to better serve the needs of the community.
Grand Bank of Texas opened its second location at 530 S. Carrier Parkway in the fall of 1999. In 2004, the bank undertook an extensive modernization and renovation campaign on its 530 S. Carrier Parkway facility. In early 2006, our roots grew even deeper when we opened our first Dallas location at 1322 N. Beckley Avenue during the construction of the permanent Dallas location. The Dallas branch opened its permanent location at 305 E. Colorado Boulevard in August 2008.
In April of 2011, Grand Bank of Texas initiated an expansion effort into the Texas Hill Country with the goal of opening branches in both Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay. Temporary facilities were opened in both cities in early 2012. Construction began on a permanent Horseshoe Bay location first and was completed in Dec 2013. Construction started on the Marble Falls permanent location early in 2014 and Grand Bank of Texas occupied it in April 2015. This completed the goal of expanding our unparalleled banking services into the Texas Hill Country.
Grand Bank of Texas officers and staff actively participate in civic, not-for-profit, and charitable organizations in the area. The Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce recognized Grand Bank of Texas as its "Corporation of the Year" for 2000 at its annual community awards event. Some of our officers have been nominated for or received prestigious Chamber of Commerce awards at recent community awards events. Other officers serve on such boards as the Lone Star Park Charitable Foundation, GPISD Education Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, Grand Prairie YMCA, Children First, and Rotary.
The Hill Country Banking Centers are members of the Marble Falls – Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce, the Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance, and the Hill Country Builders Association. Hill Country officers are highly active in the community in organizations such as the Legacy Fund Board, Phoenix Center, Women’s Council of Real Estate in the Highland Lakes, Daybreak Rotary of Marble Falls, Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce Board, A Place of HOPE, Adult Soap Box Derby in Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay Sports Club, Highland Lakes A&M Mom’s Club, Highland Lakes A&M Club, Hill Country Builders Association and the Scott and White Marble Falls Hospital Expansion Program.
